Our Story,

I am Delle Roach, and I created Doggy Oggy. When I was informed, by my lawn service provider that I needed to pick up after my dog in my own backyard I was less than enthused. The reason behind this discussion was that when my lawn guy cuts the lawn, the lawn mowers transfer whatever is in one yard to another. Dog owners transfer harmful bacteria to other dog and non-dog owners. In short the entire process is a bacteria swap fest, which is often the reason behind unexplained illnesses amongst adults, kids and canine. I understood that picking up after my dog wouldn’t completely solve the bacteria problem in my lawn but it reduced the amount of E. Coli and bacteria that gets transferred to other lawns by 50%. Because the lawn mower mainly cuts the upper length of grass, half of the harmful bacteria get transfer to other lawns. Most E. Coli and other bacteria simply got left in the backyard (in this case, my backyard). I certainly was less enthusiastic to pick up after my dog after that bit of info nor did want to walk around in my own backyard. I know I needed to come up with a solution that was very effective against E. Coli and other bacteria, safe for my dog and less time consuming that constantly picking up after my dog’s numerous bathroom breaks.

I did a lot of research on natural extracts and minerals that kill bacteria and I also read herbal studies published by microbiologists. I stumbled on a few extracts, some made from the barks of trees, that kill’s E. Coli and other bacteria and deter insects such as ticks and fleas. When combined the formula certainly did the job well. I harvested the extracts and mixed it with naturally forming crystals that promote lawn growth. I then ran a few tests that pleased me (I couldn’t argue with a 99.5% E. Coli kill rate) and Doggy Oggy was formed.
